Treasury + Head of Acquisition

We are looking for a motivated and responsible individual to take on the role of Treasury & Head of Acquisition within the svMUSA board! As the Treasury & Head of Acquisition, you will manage the financial aspects of the association, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring that svMUSA’s finances are in order. Additionally, you will lead the Acquisition Committee, responsible for securing partnerships and sponsorships to support our events and activities. You will work closely with both the board and the committee to ensure that we have the resources necessary to continue offering valuable experiences to our members.

What does the role entail?

  • Oversee the financial management of svMUSA, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting;
  • Lead the Acquisition Committee to identify potential sponsors and partners;
  • Negotiate deals and build relationships with external organizations to ensure that events are well-funded;
  • Collaborate with other committee heads and board members to support the overall mission of svMUSA;
  • Ensure that financial activities comply with relevant policies and regulations.

    We are looking for a candidate who:

    • Has experience or a background in accounting (preferred);
    • Demonstrates strong communication and negotiation skills;
    • Is professional, motivated, and detail-oriented;
    • Can work independently and as part of a team;
    • Is committed to dedicating at least 10 hours per week to the association;
    • Has the ability to think creatively and outside the box to explore new opportunities for funding.
